I love the lighting; it makes the colours blend together well showing strange hues of yellow, blue and green. I like your take on the man in a suit holding an umbrella, but I'd be interested in seeing a version without the umbrella because the umbrella makes the composition too center with the hand. May I reinterate the quality of the lighting on the hand it almost sparkles in an iridescent way. Awesome work.

dear thomas, i'm totally amazed by this piece, it immeadiatly caught my eye.. the cut-out, the lightning, all this playing together creates a certain mood of.. i can't find words for it.. this piece is so full of emotions, thoughts.. it directly communicates with my fantasy.. i see a guy, maybe a busssiness-man, running thorugh a crowded street, it's raining.. he's alone.. at a traffic light he had to stop, together with other people, it rains.. and although a lot of people stand beside him, also waitin to cross the street, he's isolated, alone.. like there's an aura of *don't touch me!* around him.. he has created this aura himself.. by wearing this particular suit, by choosing this particular umbrella, by showing this particular expression... and slowly he begins to ask himself, why he's doing this, why he so strongly wishes to be alone.. isolated.. maybe as a kind of protection?

that's what i see in this work...

i love it!!

This piece is very seductive in a quiet sort of way. I disagree about the umbrelly being distracting. I am fascinated by the way the piece moves towards the lower half of his face (very difficult to do for something stuck in the upper right hand corner). I also enjoy the lack of a background. It allows the viewer to pick where this man is in space, in his head, in life. Beautiful!
